Pre reading Literacy Assignment.....

I made this for my literacy assignmnet..

Choose a card..name it... then find the first letter from the hanging letters..

Color coding...Pink for the pink series..

I was thinking of pincer grip here as well as identifying letters...

3 letter pink series words... also made this for blue and green series..

All contained on one tray ready for next time....

Izumi 2 years....Next Generation

Izumi can see her older siblings using the computer and is very interested. She is quite capable of using an I Pod and I Phone!!!!!

Izumi..23 months ..Sorting and eating

 Izumi likes using the sound boxes for building towers and is getting very good at it but today she used them for sorting her colors.

 We have a color basket with a Blue side and a Red side and she is recognising these colors.

Today she used the sound boxes to sort Red and Blue by herself, it was nice to see her freely chose this activity herself and have the confidence and concentration to put the Red in one box and Blue in the other.

First of March and St Davids Day.........................Izumi is wearing a traditional Welsh outfit minus the hat.  She is feeding herself Tomato soup and enjoying it.

izumi..23 months ..Pincer grip, hand eye coordination and repetition

Izumi enjoyed this activity, The butterfly is an icecube tray and she is putting marbles into the holes.

The difficulty for Izzy is using her pincer grip to take the marbles out and put them back into the dish, but she did not give up and returned all the marbles back to the dish.

Izumi uses this activity every now and again but always gets frustrated when she cannot thread the beads.

Today however she succeeded and the quite joy she showed in her face was priceless.
