Colours and nesting 2 years old......

This shelf is about colours....finding diffrent ways of using this visual sense to discriminate between colours and also vocabulary...which is blue??

Nesting activities...lots of fun and great for hand and wrist muscles and also indirect preparation for numeracy through being able to discriminate size...good for vocabulary..which is bigger, biggest..smallest etc

Pegging, lids, threading, money box and animals.....

This is a threading activity and a money box activity, good for hand eye coordination, strengthening pincer grip and hand muscles in preparation for writing.
Pegging is so good for the hand muscles and pincer grip..
This is the bizzy Izzy finger shelf....

Animals...I have pictures of 4 animals and Izzy can match the plastic animals to the pictures, she loves this and is very quick to match and name the animals.
In the 3 draws are 3 blue buttons, Izzy opens the draws and collects the 3 blue buttons, good for her fingers and without prompt she counts and names colours..

Here is the animal matching game...

Moved the shelves today..Izzy was very pleased.

On the right is the Montessori/work area and on the left her home corner
