Not sure what this dish is for?? Any ideas? well it makes a fun activity for Izzy, it is good for wrist movement and development.

Izzy 3:1 Sandpaper Letters & Numbers

Izzy is interested in both letters and numbers, we are using the letters of her name and numbers 1 to 3. I am using small sandpaper letters and she slowly is remembering to use her 2 main fingers to trace, I am encouraging her to trace in the air as well as sand.
I show her letters and numbers wherever we go now because she is interested, a month ago she would definitely not have been interested, she was looking in bushes, up trees, aeroplanes and cars. We look at street signs, numbers on gates, car licence plates; these are all easily noticeable at her height.

Izzy 3:1 I Spy

Today we used Cat, Duck and Frog for our I Spy game, Izzy clearly heard all 3 sounds and was able to match sound to object.

This post is labeled 'Washing Dads car'... Can you see the car? Well that's how much Izzy washed the car, I think she washed the pavement more.

Izzy 3:1 A concrete footprint

We were walking to the park when Izzy stopped to look at a footprint in some dried concrete, she looked at it for a while then put her foot into the footprint. It made her laugh and she said 'to big'. xx

Izzy went with her friend Maisy to an activity play center, she spent most of her time running and jumping by herself, she enjoyed and explored all the activities there!

This was the first time she folded the paper herself to make a butterfly print.

Izzy 3:1 Play

Well at the moment Izzy is not touching her shelves, puzzles or craft activities..It is all 'roleplay and transporting'...I keep finding bags around the house full of her 'treasure'...all sorts of things tucked into her bags....I have a mental plan in my head of what I want to be doing with Izzy each week and at the moment it is on hold, this is her life and if if my Montessori training has taught me one thing, it is 'Follow the Child'.
