2 years 6 months..sand box

This container has a lid and we filled it with sand, then threw in some animals and Izzy loved it...she buries them in the sand and then digs them up....when she has finished we put the lid on ready for next time....

This is a seasonal activity than we can have lots of fun with...Biggest to Smallest, change the objects to animals and sort them into rows etc etc
One of Izzy's favourite things about this activity is that she can  carry it around with her !!

2 years 6 months..Pouring

Izzy has such good control now when pouring with her jug, she has concentration and hand eye coordination........She is so happy to do this for herself giving her self esteem and confidence to try other new activities!!!

2 years 6 months..Picture Bingo

This activity is called picture bingo..the child turns over the small picture cards to find the matching pair on their boards...Izzy's board had a duck on it, so she went and fetched her plastic ducks and placed them on the board...2D turns into 3D..XX

2 years 6 months..Role play

Izzy is washing her dishes...I set this up so she can do the activity by herself....giving her independence will build her self esteem and confidence!!!

Izzy cooked our food and we sat at the table and to eat it....this kind of role play will help Izzy's vocabulary and she uses her fine and gross motor skills when handling the pans, cutlery and carrying the dishes....

2 years 6 mths Bike Time

Izzy was very happy to get a bike from her Daddy, they spent a long time adjusting it, she was so happy !!

The bike has no pedals so Izzy will learn balance and coordination while still being totally in control.....

Transport classification cards 2 years 6 months

Izzy has had animal classification cards on the shelf but we needed something else and as she loves Aeroplanes and Cars this turned into a firm favourite.......only thing is she keeps wandering off with the Aeroplane. : ) You will find the transport cards for free at...

Transferring 2 years 6 months

She started using both hands to squeeze the tweezer.........

Then she only used one hand.....

Concentration!!!!!

Still working that pincer grip, improving order and concentration

We are using small sea shells.....

Again, using the basic...Pouring..... hand eye coordination and concentration...

Been away for the summer doing lots of studying and finally finishing my Montessori Diploma...we also went to Spain for a few weeks, which was Amazing........So i will catch you up with Izzy.......
