Izzy 3:3 Happy words

This morning Izzy was sitting on my lap and not so happy because I was going to work. Her brother was trying to make her smile asking should he stay home (she said no) and I said she was lucky to spend the day with Daddy, going shopping getting ice cream and she said "I will share". Letting her brother know that even though he had to go to school she would share her ice cream when he came home.

Izzy 3:3 Land water air

We went to the garden for the earth, took some air from the garden as well. Will take some water from the ocean on the weekend. She enjoyed the activity and I look forward to exploring this activity with her.

Izzy 3:3 Empathy

The girls were watching 'The Secret Garden' on television and there was a little girl crying and Izzy said "now me feel sad".

Izzy 3:3 Numeracy

We completed the spindle box together this week, loose quantities to fixed symbols, we are also still using her Sandpaper numbers and we learned 6 and 7. She was great at not looking in the bag to match the shapes.

Izzy 3:3 Roleplay

This week she has climbed down a mountain, drove a car (just reaching the pedals, which was important for her!) and convinced her Daddy to make her a car !! Bizzy Izzy xx

Izzy 3:3 Color box 3

Izumi is very interested in colors at the moment; she enjoys talking about colors as she paints. She chose Orange and I talked about lighter and darker. She was not really aware of the shades but enjoyed the activity. She went on to explore with all the colors.

This is her first taster of rhyming and she enjoyed the materials, she enjoyed the rhyming and I will continue to use this activity building on her awareness of rhyme that she has through songs.

Izzy is really having short bursts of interests at the moment, I see the intensity in her movements and concentrations; washing hands, colouring, painting, cutting.....

Izzy loves this Orange felt pen and she has been colouring for days....such wonderful concentration and hand eye coordination.

We have been hanging out in the garden a lot recently and they are all going wild....climbing trees, building treehouses, trampolines, hopscotch, hula hoops and chalking ......even squashed in a little barbecue.
